Meet Ali

After launching a startup as an undergrad at Stanford and running the business for over a decade, I was tired and uninspired. I knew that something in my day-to-day life wasn’t working. I didn't feel fulfilled and I felt lost. It was hard to ask for help, but by working with a therapist, I found relief. The company that I had dedicated all of my time to was acquired in 2018 by a large corporation and I began my next endeavor.

It was this lived experience, as well as a desire to help others, that led me to return to school for a Masters of Social Work with the vision of eventually becoming a therapist. It has been a journey, but here we are.

I deeply understand the pressures that founder/CEOs experience in today’s startup culture and the impact those pressures can have on all other aspects of life.

I specialize in working with clients who are juggling a lot and feeling overwhelmed, uninspired, and anxious about what the future holds.

I also coach founder/CEOs on how they can motivate and lead their teams more effectively and how to manage conflict both at work and at home. My first hand experience both from being an entrepreneur as a founder/CEO and then working for the large corporation that acquired my company gives me additional insight into what you are going through during the entire start up life cycle including acquisition and what to expect on the other side.

I am also committed to working with clients who are experiencing grief, be it the loss of a loved one, (I lost my dad at age 25 and it was really really really hard), unexplained infertility, the end of a romantic relationship, an unexpected career change, or figuring out how to navigate a newly diagnosed chronic illness.

Together, my clients and I develop strategies that they can implement across all aspects of their lives.

I am a firm believer that when something feels off in one part of your life that it negatively impacts all of the other relationships in your life. Sometimes we recognize the patterns that we continue to repeat and sometimes we don’t. This is where I come in to help navigate and implement positive change in your life.

I practice real talk, accountability, a no bullshit approach, and creative problem-solving. If this style sounds right for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I practice therapy and receive weekly supervision under Jennifer Musselman, LMFT, an expert in helping clients in both their personal and professional lives.
